Catchment Area
The practice was built to serve the estates of Randlay, Stirchley, Brookside and Aqueduct in Telford. We will accept any person living in this area as a new patient. For patients who are already registered, we will retain you on our list if you are moving, so long as it is within Telford in an area to the south of the M54, excluding the Rock. We are happy to explain further if you ring or come in to speak to one of the staff.
Booking appointments
It is usually best to telephone to book an appointment (01952 660033), especially if it is a new problem. For ongoing problems, you can just as easily book at the front desk. If you are phoning, the busiest time is first thing at 08:30. At the start of the day there are usually appointments made available for each doctor who is in. For a word document on the appointment system, please click here.
Advice calls
Some issues can be sorted out on the telephone and the doctors and nurses are happy to proide advice calls if you think that this is all that is required. Please call before 11a.m. and leave your number so that a doctor can call you back when it is possible.
The triage service
We operate a system of triage for all requests to see a doctor with a new problem. This is designed to provide access to the most appropriate doctor at the soonest available time that is convenient to you. Triage involves speaking to a nurse when you want to book an appointment. For such new problems, we will organise for you to be seen by the duty doctor or nurse as appropriate as soon as possible and certainly within 48 hours. For ongoing problems, a receptionist will try to book an appointment with your usual doctor in the next available appointment.
Confidentiality
In line with all Health Services in the UK, we maintain a strict policy of confidentiality within the practice. We ask that you respect this ethical principle, just as we respect your right to privacy and security of information.
