Breast Screening

We are aware that many patients at the practice aged between 50- 71 years will have received or will shortly be receiving their breast cancer screening invitations. In the last two and a half years, 19 patients at our practice have had their breast cancer detected via the screening programme. When you receive your invitation, please attend your appointment. Screening is for people with no symptoms and is designed to catch cancer at the earliest stage. If breast cancer is caught at the earliest stage almost 100% of people will survive.
